Principal Electrical Engineer
A principal engineer will act as Project Lead across several projects and in addition will lead the engineering design across other projects.

As a Project Lead a principal engineer will be responsible for the management of fees and resources for the project, as well as leading the design and coordination. A principal engineer will be responsible for the successful delivery of the projects they are leading.

With at least 8 years’ experience, a principal engineer will be confident in the development of the engineering design including design concepts, calculations and production of drawings, specification, and schedules. A principal engineer will take responsibility for delivering at each stage of a project and will supervise the work of junior engineers in the team to this end.

Senior Mechanical Engineer
A senior mechanical engineer will lead the mechanical design across multiple projects and will act as the primary point of contact for the external design team on certain projects.

With at least 4 years’ experience, a senior mechanical engineer will be confident in the development of the mechanical design including design concepts, calculations and production of drawings, specification, and schedules. A senior engineer will take responsibility for delivering design packages and will supervise the work of junior engineers.

A senior mechanical engineer will be confident communicating with the external design team and contractors and will regularly attend meetings and site visits.

A senior mechanical engineer will understand the design process and how building services design fits into the construction process. A senior engineer will have knowledge of architecture, structural engineering, sustainability, and environmental design and will understand how these impact on building services design.

Graduate Mechanical Engineer
A graduate mechanical engineer will support senior engineers on the production of building services design information including sketches, drawings, calculations, and technical schedules.

A good engineering degree is essential as well as some background knowledge of building services and environmental design, though as a graduate engineer with no previous experience it is expected that the candidate will develop their skills through supervision and in house training.

Within the first year of employment a graduate will learn how to create 2D drawings using AutoCAD software and gain experience of 3D modelling of building services using REVIT software.

Graduate Electrical Engineer
As a Graduate Electrical Engineer at Integration, you will work alongside experienced mechanical and electrical engineers in the design and delivery of building services engineering systems that shape how people live, learn and work. You will contribute to the production of electrical engineering design packages including sketches, drawings, calculations and technical schedules for buildings in a wide range of sectors such as commercial, education, residential and ecclesiastical.

A relevant engineering degree is essential to provide a foundation of technical understanding. At Integration, we recognise that graduates join us at the start of their professional journey, so we provide structured in-house training, mentoring and regular CPD sessions to support your development. You will also have access to the latest industry standards and digital design tools to build your knowledge and confidence as you grow into an independent engineer.

Within your first year you will gain hands-on experience producing 2D drawings using AutoCAD software, developing 3D BIM models in Revit, and carrying out lighting and power calculations using software such as Trimble ProDesign and Dialux. You’ll work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, applying creative problem-solving and digital design to deliver efficient, sustainable and high-performance engineering solutions for buildings.
