Hardess Yard

Hardess Yard is an exemplary 320-unit BREEAM Outstanding and WELL Platinum, new-build co-living development in South London ranging from 2 to 14 storeys.

In November 2024 Hardess Yard was granted planning permission and has now entered the detailed design phase of construction.

Integration is working with developers London Green, the scheme includes a wide range of facilities and amenities for residents.

Integration worked closely with PLP Architects to tackle challenges related to overheating performance and acoustics as well as low carbon performance which included integrating fresh air heat recovery and waste-water heat recovery across all units.

The scheme also includes a 1400m2 light industrial building which can be night-cooled via naturally-ventilated exposed thermal mass during the summer months whilst in winter use demand-led (CO2) controlled ventilation with heat recovery.

Air source heat pumps within an acoustic enclosure provide 100% of the space heating and domestic hot water demand and are connected to communal thermal stores that will be configured for Demand Side Response. The heat pump systems is complemented by bio-solar rooftop solar photovoltaic arrays.

Besides building services design, Integration provided detailed Passive Design Reports for both co-living and industrial buildings examining the impact of a variety of environmental design interventions on the energy-in-use preference. Integration also produced the site-wide Energy and Sustainability Statement, Overheating Report, “Be Seen” reporting and Utilities Report for planning.
